Any suggestions on what we should we wear?
There is no “right” or “wrong” set of clothing to wear to a session. However, I can offer some tips to look and feel your best.
- Dress comfortably in clothing you can move freely in. Lift your arms over your head. Sit down in a chair. If the clothing moves easily with you, you will feel less self-conscious about it during our session.
- Avoid bright whites and solid blacks. Whites can interfere with the lighting and wash out your skin coloring. Black is more susceptible to picking up lint and fuzz and a sharp lens will see it. Choose neutral earth tones like ivory, grey, brown, blues, and greens.
- Simple and understated jewelry will ensure the focus is on you instead of your accessories.
- If doing a family or group shot consider how your individual colors and patterns coordinate with each other. If you wouldn’t wear a plaid shirt with striped pants, don’t accidentally clash with someone in your photo either.
- Make up can be worn slightly heavier than normal for a photo shoot. Natural eye colors pick up best for the lens. No need for heavy eyeliner or dark shadows as this can make your eyes look tired.
Can I print the purchased images myself?
It’s very popular to go online and create your own announcements, invitations, cards, and albums. I will provide you with an “Unlimited Use Buy Out” letter which will allow you to print and order images in whatever format and forum you choose. Please be aware when you print professional grade photos on any type of a budget printer you will receive budget grade photos. The best way to ensure the images maintain their absolute integrity is to go through a professional lab. I can provide you with the resource I use when printing images.
